WHO IS ILLOVO?
ILLOVO SUGAR AFRICA is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Associated British Foods plc (ABF), a diversified international food, ingredients, and retail group operating in 52 countries.
Illovo is Africa’s biggest sugar producer, they have extensive agribusiness operations in six African countries, manufacturing sugar and downstream products from cane supplied by their own agricultural operations and independent local growers.
BURSARY DESCRIPTION
Learners who are in their Grade 12 of schooling and who have passed subjects like Maths, Science and English excellent are invited to apply for this bursary and willing to work for Illovo Sugar Ltd. in the future if needed. Students currently studying at either University or Technikon, who have above average academic results.

- Engineering(BSc/BEng)
- Chemical Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering

- Electronic Engineering
Please note that students who are studying at Universisty of Technology will be sponsored to do their in-service training as part of the bursary on condition that they go on to complete their B.Tech Degree.
ELIGIBILITY
Applicants must be a South African citizenApplicant must be doing Grade 12 or completed Grade 12
Applicant must be accepted to study further or currently studying at an accredited institution of higher learning in South Africa
Applicants must have excellent academic record
Applicants must be Previously Disadvantaged Background
