WHO IS PRASA?
The Passenger Rail Agency of South Africa (PRASA) is a state-owned enterprise responsible for most passenger rail services in South Africa
It consist of four branches:
- Metrorail - which operates commuter rail services in urban areas
- Shosholoza Meyl - which operates regional and intercity rail services
- Autopax - which operated regional and intercity couch services
- Inersite - which manages the property owned by PRASA

Accommodation only at one of the institution resistance.
BURSARY DESCRIPTION
PRASA mainly funds bursaries for technical courses and course in the engineering and operations.
Here is the list of some of the qualifications funded by PRASA (not limited too):
- Mechanical Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Industrial Engineering
- Branding and Communication
- Signalling
- Information Technology
ELIGIBILITY
- Applicant must complete PRASA bursary application form.
- Applicant must provide a certified copy of Grade 12 certificate.
- Applicant must provide a certified ID copy
- Applicant must provide a certified copy of the latest academic record on the official letterhead of the institution of learning.
HOW TO APPLY
Bursary application form can be obtained from PRASA Hatfield Offices or from PRASA website www.prasa.com or it can be posted to you on request.
The bursary application form must completed and signed and all required documents must be submitted.

30th of September of each year
BURSARY CONDITIONS
- The applicant will have a contract of service with PRASA.
- The bursary maybe withdrawn by PRASA if the applicant has a bursary with another organization.
No fax application forms will be accepted and the bursary can not be used for existing loans or debt.
